Questions continue to surface around the short-sighted decisions taken by Tire Stewardship Saskatchewan (TSS) to regulate a once “free market” for tire processing in Saskatchewan and undermine the operation of Saskatoon-based processor, Shercom Industries.

The Chamber is asking City Council to review the possibility of engaging a private contractor for the operation of an organic waste processing facility.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Chrystia Freeland tabled the 2024 federal budget yesterday. The budget contained few surprises, with the bulk of announcements having been rolled out over the past several weeks.

The Federal Budget will be presented next week on April 16. As part of the budget consultative process the Canadian Chamber submitted a comprehensive pre-budget proposal to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, the Honorable Chrystia Freeland.
