Connecting Canada: Improving Air Connectivity for Mid-Sized Airports
June 12, 2024
Our landmark partnership with the First Nations University of Canada (FNUniv), supporting Saskatoon’s small and medium-sized businesses through the “4 Seasons of Reconciliation” program, has been met with enthusiastic participation.
Small businesses, which make up nearly 95 percent of Saskatoon's commercial sector, play a crucial role in job creation, GDP growth, and local procurement. Our partnership aims to advance economic reconciliation by providing SMEs with the tools and knowledge they need.
The 4 Seasons of Reconciliation program offers a comprehensive, self-administered educational resource designed to foster cross-cultural understanding, explore Indigenous history, and facilitate economic partnerships. This initiative aligns with the Chamber’s “Reconciliation Roadmap for Small Business,” focusing on TRC Call to Action #92.
Since the program's inception, nearly 100 employees from Saskatoon’s small business community have participated, showcasing the community's strong commitment to reconciliation.
The program will continue into the fall, where Chamber member businesses or organizations with 50 employees or fewer can enroll their employees in the program at no cost. If you are interested in enrolling, click here.
