Chamber Encourages Forward Momentum on Wholistic Tax Policy
April 23, 2025
The Saskatoon Chamber, in partnership with Supply Chain Canada, recently hosted a timely and engaging event focused on the circular economy, a model that reimagines how goods are produced and used to eliminate waste, maximize resource value, and protect natural systems. Moving beyond the traditional “take-make-dispose” linear model, circular practices ensure that materials and energy are continually reused at their highest value, no pollution is created throughout the value chain, and natural ecosystems are protected and regenerated.
This presentation was part of a consultative process and the ultimate creation of a report designed to increase the adoption of circularity principles and practices within supply chains, particularly among SMEs. The goal is to enhance competitiveness, resilience, and productivity across the business community. Participants were introduced to key concepts and practical tools to support implementation, as well as real-world examples ranging from reverse logistics and product-as-a-service models to regenerative design and supply chain innovation. Together, these efforts will help position Saskatchewan SMEs for long-term economic and environmental success.
