Today, Saskatoon City Council meets to discuss the city’s property tax ratio—a key policy that impacts both businesses and residents. 

The Saskatoon Chamber released a new study that confirms the need for a balanced and transparent tax ratio in Saskatoon. Conducted by Hemson Consulting, the report reveals that businesses currently shoulder a disproportionate share of municipal taxes, despite city services primarily benefiting residential properties.

The 2025-2026 Provincial Budget, tabled today, prioritizes critical investments in healthcare and education while delivering for small and midsize businesses by including the highly anticipated Small and Medium Enterprise Investment Tax Credit proposed by the Saskatoon Chamber.
