Last week the Chamber circulated a business opinion survey to members that asked their thoughts on the potential removal of the Proof of Vaccination or Negative Test Policy. Responses were gathered from just over 500 businesses. The following data has been tabulated with the responses from our Chamber and the Saskatchewan Chamber’s InputSask results.
These results were given to the province prior to the announcement made today, helping inform the province of the latest business opinion.
60% of business owners and stakeholders welcome the lifting of the proof of vaccine/negative test requirement and would respect this decision made by policy-makers and CMHO experts.
61% of business owners and stakeholders feel that the option of verifying vaccine status should still be available to those establishments that want to use it, along with the voluntary use of masking and distancing requirements.
Even though a majority of businesses believe vaccine verification should still be an option for those who want to do it, 46% said that they would still implement the policy in their businesses.
