The City of Saskatoon is planning and designing facilities for walking and cycling along Millar Avenue between 43rd Street East and Marquis Drive. The project objective is to develop a design that encourages walking and cycling consistent with the City’s Active Transportation Plan.

A recent Canadian Chamber of Commerce Business Lab report shows that while Canada has made some positive strides in advancing equality for women in business, there is much work to be done if we are to achieve the success seen in other countries around the world. 

The circular economy is an emerging priority and opportunity for businesses and organizations across the prairies. The Saskatoon Chamber is participating in a joint MB/SK Circular Economy Advisory group that is gathering information on the current state of circular economy awareness, practices and trends among businesses and organizations within Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

Over the last three years, there have been regular discussions regarding the placement and amenities of shelter facilities in our city. When shelter services are placed in locations and buildings ill-equipped to accommodate their functions, it can have serious repercussions for the entire community, particularly those dependent on the services provided.

After months of consultations and design work, renderings have been developed for a future entertainment district in our downtown.

The City of Saskatoon has released the conceptual design of the future Downtown Entertainment District, the scope of which includes the District core, event centre/arena, convention centre, theatre, and the streets and public spaces that tie them all together.
