Tell Us How the 26/27 Civic Budget Impacts Your Business
October 22, 2025
In October 2025, the Regina and Saskatoon Chambers jointly surveyed members to determine the level of interest in renewed air service between Saskatchewan’s two largest cities. This follow-up to our 2023 survey reaffirms what we’ve long known: that strong business, institutional, and governmental linkages exist between Saskatoon and Regina, and that many organizations maintain operations, clients, and partnerships in both cities.
The survey asked respondents key questions about their travel needs and preferences, including interest in service, number of tickets required per month, preferred travel days, feasible round-trip fares, luggage requirements, and willingness to pre-pay.
The results demonstrate clear and consistent demand for a return of intercity air service:
- 94% of respondents said they would use the service
- Most would purchase 1–2 round-trip tickets per month
- A $500 round-trip fare was considered reasonable by the majority
- Two-thirds indicated they would be willing to pre-pay for tickets
Respondents emphasized that this connection would save time, reduce winter driving risks, and strengthen economic linkages across the province. The findings underscore a strong case for restoring this vital service to better connect Saskatchewan’s business community.
