The Federal Government has announced a package of support measures aimed at providing working capital for businesses facing liquidity and cash flow pressures.
Saskatoon remains among the least tariff-exposed cities in Canada, and over 90% of Saskatchewan's goods are protected under CUSMA. However, there are businesses in our city that are feeling the impact of the Canada-U.S. trade war directly and deeply.
While enhanced financing and loan programs for businesses are welcome, your Chamber will continue to push for measures that allow businesses to retain more of their earnings through lower taxes rather than costly and complex programs. Business owners know what is needed to support their employees and customers, and where to deploy resources, to manage the risks they face.
