Key November Activities

The Greater Saskatoon Chamber has been busy working on behalf of its membership to consider and respond to a number of policy items and government initiatives. Key activities for the month of November included:

  • The Chamber SUMMIT

On November 8th, we held our first Chamber Summit. Eight sector roundtables were held throughout the day to allow members to convene and discuss the issues that matter most. In addition to the roundtables, we held our first Indigenous Business Forum over breakfast and hosted the Summit Luncheon featuring Valerie Chort, VP Corporate Citizenship at RBC, who provided the keynote presentation on the future of work in the age of disruption.

The Saskatoon Chamber submitted a letter to the Standing Policy Committee on Finance in support of the Saskatoon & Region Home Builder’s Association’s request to conduct an audit of the City of Saskatoon’s development levies.

The Saskatoon Chamber submitted its response to the Western Economic Growth Strategy, offering its insights and recommendations as Western Economic Diversification builds its long-term economic growth strategy for Western Canada.
