SASKATOON, SK – October 14, 2022 – A stellar group of winners was announced last evening at the 2022 SABEX Awards held at TCU Place. SABEX is Saskatoon’s premier business awards program that honours Saskatoon businesses and non-profit organizations that exemplify high performance, excellence and achievement.
The program also featured the induction of Sherwood and Elaine Sharfe into Saskatoon’s Business Hall of Fame, sponsored by McKercher LLP. Together, Sherwood and Elaine Sharfe have built a business that has thrived for over 50 years. In that time, they have enriched many lives, and contributed to our collective quality of life, through their philanthropy in education, the arts and important community initiatives. They have been strong advocates for human rights, citizenship and inclusion through their work with the Concentus Citizenship Education Foundation. And, they have provided many with a platform to build their own success in the jobs, experiences and incomes they have provided over five decades in business.
“Saskatoon’s business community continues to amaze. Our economic rebound is in full swing thanks to the strength and grit of our businesses and CBOs. Congratulations to all of this year’s SABEX Award finalists and winners. Each one embodies the optimism, resilience and enterprising spirit of our city,” said Jason Aebig, Saskatoon Chamber CEO.
